The Full Story

John joined Celtic for £6 million pounds in 2001. He gained Legendary Status amongst the Parkhead faithful by scoring 109 goals in just 201 appearances, and well as winning the Scottish Football Writers Player Of The Year.

John also played in the Premier League with Arsenal, West Ham United, Wimbledon, Coventry City and West Bromwich Albion, and in the Football League for Luton Town and Norwich City, whilst earning 51 international caps for Wales, scoring 14 goals.

He created the John Hartson Foundation in 2009 after successful fighting cancer, and now uses his profile as a former top-flight professional footballer to increase awareness of the disease and to help raise money to support others affected by cancer. On the night, The Longest Forty will be donating auction items in aid of John's charity, and guests can take the opporunity to donate on the night.
