After signing from Dundee for just £450,000 in 2004, the Spaniard became an instant hit with the Ibrox faitful due to his energetic performances and crucial goals.

In 6 seasons he scored 49 goals in 179 appearances, and is probably best remembered for sending Rangers to Manchester with the winning penalty in the UEFA Cup semi-final versus Fiorentina in Italy.
